Religious Ed

 

Please contact the office immediately if your child is in the
2nd Grade and ready to prepare for First Communion

 

Elementary RE – Religious education classes for students in 1st thru 5th grades.  These classes meet on Thursdays, 4 –5 pm.  A small snack is provided before classes begin (no snacks during class).  

Sacrament Classes –  Students in 2nd grade will spend their RE class time preparing to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist. Family Sessions are also required for students preparing to receive the Sacraments. These Growing-up Catholic family sessions assist parents and children in understanding the importance of the Sacraments.

 

Older students (3rd grade and up) needing to receive the sacraments will have separate classes that will be determined as the school year gets under way. In order to be ready to receive the Sacraments in the spring, these students must attend their assigned RE class and the separate sacrament classes.
Mass attendance is a great family activity for all students but a must for our Sacrament Prep students. Please plan on attending Mass regularly.
 

Middle School RE – The Edge for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders – Currently, there are not enough kids signed up.
 

High School Youth Group – A new program is in the works, please check back soon!

We are always looking for additional faithful, loving, kid-friendly volunteers to continue our programs success.

All catechists (teachers) and helpers must be fingerprinted and take the class “Protecting God’s Children for Adults.” Ask the parish when the next class is being offered.
